CHAMBER MUSIC AT
Lyceum Oaks Youth Orchestra
Summerfest Chamber Artists | Summer Immersive Program
Dialogues Chamber Artists | Full Scholarship Program
Chamber music is a celebration of friendship among musicians. Between than the grandeur of the Symphony and the thrill of solo repertoire, musicians rehearse and perform in small groups of 3 to 8 members, gaining skill in communication, leadership, and artistry.
Chamber music at LOYO is a rich experience that builds lifetime friendships and exceptional musical abilities.
Summerfest Chamber Artists
(Summer Immersive Program)
The core of LOYO’s chamber music program is conducted during Summerfest in July. Students receive 3 to 5 coachings with artist faculty, learn to rehearse as a group on their own, perform in masterclasses, and perform in recitals and concerts.
Musicians at the Symphony level and above can participate in Summerfest’s full session program.
Musicians at the Preparatory level may participate in Preparatory Chamber Ensembles which integrate with Summerfest’s half session program.
Dialogues Concert Series Artists
(Full Scholarship Program)
Students who are experienced chamber musicians and have performed at Summerfest may apply to be invited to the Dialogues Concert Series as guest artists.
Students perform as a featured group, or are invited as individuals in groups with faculty or celebrity guest artists. Becoming a DCS Artist is a crowning achievement at LOYO, and is a mark of distinction for any musician’s resume or college applications.
Dialogues Concert Series Artists are accepted into the LOYO chamber music program on full scholarship.
