CYAS Audition Preparation Seminar – September
September – Learn how to approach serious auditions and interviews.
This seminar is primarily geared towards LOYO members who are preparing for a CYAS audition in the Fall, but is also open to all LOYO musicians and parents as observers. Topics will include:
- Core principals of auditions and job interviews.
- What professional symphonies look for in auditions relative to educational institutions.
- Presentation in performance and speech.
- Strategies in assembling your Artist Bio, Resume, and Curriculum Vitae.
CYAS Rehearsal Preparation Seminar
October – Only available to musicians preparing for CYAS.
Learn how to prepare for professional-level orchestral engagements in ways that translate to other endeavors such as chamber and solo engagements and professional contracts in other fields.
Town Hall, College, and Career Seminar
June 2nd at 6:30 PM – Join us for our final seminar of the season.
Director Alexander Tseitlin will touch on 3 topics including general background and current developments:
1. Important strategies in applying for college with music as an application asset, whether applying as a music major, music minor, or a non-major.
2. The state of the professional field of music including: careers as a solo artist, orchestral artist, studio artist, or other blended fields.
3. The state of LOYO, including prospective developments in each orchestra, each campus, and relation to our affiliated projects such as CYAS, the California Young Artists Competition, Summerfest, and Dialogues.
